Kali Bagary
Kali Bagary is an experienced business and IT entrepreneur who has a passion for business networking. He has over 25 years hands-on experience of marketing, sales and delivery of enterprise software services and solutions into the UK, Europe, South Africa and Australia.
In 2007, Kali became president and MD of JMR Consulting UK Limited, a company which has grown and expanded under his leadership. He has in-depth knowledge of the UK market, and played an integral role in establishing JMR’s UK operations. When JMR was launched in 2007, the company supplied IT services. In 2009, they diversified into selling software solutions.
JMR is now bringing proven technology products to the UK market from overseas. This side of the business is set to grow as Kali has successfully secured the UK distribution for the IDIT™ software suite, a market leading policy administration system for general insurance.
Kali has also, more recently, brought together a group of companies to develop the Gain-Line proposition and offer a more cohesive offering for Solvency II, particularly geared towards small to medium sized insurance companies.
Kali has been appointed Chairman for IS2UK Ltd, a Sales and Marketing organisation that helps international software companies to enter the UK market.
Kali is co-founder of the Finance IT Network (FITN) that was launched in 2007. The network meets on a regular basis to keep abreast of innovation in IT within the financial services sector and supports CIOs and Programme Managers.
Formerly Managing Director of Sapiens, a NASDAQ-listed global software development company, Kali’s business expertise is coupled with a deep understanding and practical experience of what is required for successful project delivery. During his role as sales and marketing director, Kali drove the UK operation through the £10m revenue barrier and enabled Sapiens to make the transition from technology vendor, to insurance solutions provider.
Kali has managed relationships with IBM, EDS, LogicaCMG, Siemens and TCS to name just a few.
As professional services director at Sapiens, Kali grew the professional services team from from a headcount of 25 to 80 in three years. He introduced formal project management, application development, quality assurance and testing methodologies, as well as introducing career structures for progression within the professional services organisation.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, Kali has run change programmes to manage culture change within large organisations, aligning the IT processes with business objectives. He has delivered multi-million pound projects under fixed-price and fixed-time contracts, and is always on the look-out for compelling new business opportunities.
